About me
How we got here...
I have been a lover of tales since birth, I grew up with bedtime stories and an overused library card.
I can remember writing long, rambling stories about keys that opened magical doors, plots based on songs that I sang in primary school, talking animals and terrible poetry.
As I grew up my writing changed, I became a letter writer - usually unsent. And writing fiction became something that I used to do. A fond memory and very much something I would love to do 'one day'.
Then 'one day' the idea for The Conclave of Convocation strolled into my head, sat down and took root. I ignored it for a while, waiting for it walk on by, but it didn't. I began plotting, planning and then writing. When I hit about 50,000 words I realised that I might actually be writing a book. By 75,000 I knew I was writing The Innate Princess, which is my debut.

The Innate Princess
I honestly don’t even know where to start with this book- other than to say I’m completely obsessed and cannot be more proud of the incredible woman who has created such a masterpiece for her debut novel.
From the very first chapter, I was pulled into a world that feels both beautifully intricate and effortlessly easy to follow. The magic system is one of the most original I’ve come across-thoughtfully crafted, layered, and genuinely exciting.
And then there’s the main character… an absolute force! A truly badass female lead who is strong, complex, and impossible not to root for. And I can’t not mention her furry little sidekick, who you can’t not love.
The story itself is packed with heartache, secrets, and intrigue- emotional moments that really land, twists you won’t see coming and (my favourite part) a powerful underlying fight against patriarchy that adds real depth and resonance to the narrative. And yes, there’s just the right amount of spice woven in, enough to add depth and tension without ever taking over the story.
By the end, I was left desperate for book two (seriously, I need it immediately).
This book is something truly special, and I can’t wait to see what comes next.
